City Ordinances

The City of Sheboygan Falls adopts most state traffic and criminal statutes as city ordinances, as well as having ordinances unique to the City.  Listed below are ordinances for residents to be aware of.  If there are other ordinances you would like to see included on this page please send an email to Chief Riffel at, sriffel@sheboyganfallspolice.com .

 

9.06 Loud and Unnecessary Noise Prohibited

(1) GENERALLY.  No person shall make or cause to be made any loud, disturbing or unnecessary sounds or noises which may annoy, or disturb a person of ordinary sensibilities in or about any public street, alley, park or private residence.

(2) WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE.  No person shall make unnecessary or annoying noise with a motor vehicle by squealing tire or the excessive acceleration of the engine.

9.17 Curfew

(a) Minors under the ages hereinafter set forth shall not either, on foot or in a vehicle, be upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, or other public grounds, public places, public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots, or other unsupervised places in the City of Sheboygan Falls between the hours of: (1) For minors under 16 years of age: 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (2) For minors 16 through 17 years of age: 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.  This section shall not apply to a minor (A) accompanied by his/her parent, legal guardian, or other adult person having care and legal custody of the minor or (B) traveling directly to or from an organized adult-supervised school or other locally recognized function if such minor is en route directly from said function or directly home or (C) traveling either en route directly to said employment or directly home.
